    On an average you should consume not more than 1200-1400 calories a day if you need to loose weight.But it can be stated more specifically depending on your weight,height and age.

    Hi Rose,
    It is recommended to burn approximately 500-600 calories per day so that, by the end of the week your total calories expenditure is around 3500 calories which is equal to 1 pound of body weight. Along with calories expenditure take care of calories intake also.

    Hey Rose,
    Simple rule to weight loss is " dissipate more calories than what you eat " If you are able to follow this rule then you can reduce your weight. More you put the difference, more weight you can reduce. But dont forget that the deficit should not be unhealthy. You have to take in calories so as to sustain your daily activities without feeling tired.
