When you burn 3500 calories you tend to lose 1 pound of body weight. You lose weight when the net caloric intake is negative i.e. amount of calories consumed is less than the amount of calories burnt. This can be achieved by combination of exercises and diet plan.

To lose your weight your calorie intake should be some where around 1200-1500 calories. But it depends upon age, height, weight and sex. Also it depends upon the goal or target, that how much you want to reduce. But the basic target should be 2-4 kilo per month.

    Hi Pooja,
I completely agree with LifeMojo expert, that to lose 1 pound of weight you need to burn 3500 calories, so I will suggest you to burn on an average 500 calories per day in oder to lose 1 pounds in a week.
