if you want to get rid of belly fat you should try to reduce the overall fat by proper diet and exercise.try to cut down fried,junked,canned,processed,fatty foods also refined cereals like maida as they are responsible for accumulation of fat on belly.Also exercises like crunches,pushups and All the aerobic exercises will help reduce belly.
