The traditional gujarati dishes are sweet & larger concentration of sugar as compared to salt & spices. Sometimes jaggery is alternative to sugar. So better to avoid such sweet dishes.
Sample diet plan:
Breakfast: plain dhokla, green chutney or Makki Di Roti-2no or makki di dosa- 2no
Midmorning: Apple or guava or watermelon or papaya- medium bowl.
Lunch- Veg salad- 1bowl, jeera rice- 1 bowl, Makki di roti- 2no, Cauliflower Bhaaji, jowar ki roti, any veg sabji.
Evening: Green tea or black tea, high fiber biscuits.
Dinner: Same as lunch.
Simple diet tip: Choose healthy cooking habits like steaming , boiled , pressure cooking. Choose healthy snacks instead of taking fatty , bakery items- refined products - healthy snacks like fresh fruits salad l, veg salad , veg juices , high fiber biscuits, brown bread, etc., Instead of taking white rice , take brown rice . Include more of salad in ur diet . Eat 4-5 small meal. Drink warm water with lemon after every meal & drink plenty of water in a day. Treat ur self weekly once or 15 days once with ur Favorite foods.
Exercise: Do any cardio exercise for 45-60mins or go for brisk walk daily after meal.
