Green tea is made with the leaves of Camellia sinensis that have undergone minimal oxidation during processing
*It is said that drinking a couple of cups of green tea each day will aid in increasing energy as it boosts metabolism. Green tea provides high levels of polyphenols which are antioxidants with chemotherapeutic and anti-inflammatory effects. In other words, green tea speeds up your metabolism to burn more calories and slows down the ability of the body to store sugars and fat.
*Experts tell us that the catechins in green tea help to inhibit the movement of glucose into fat cells. Green tea may also act as glucose regulator. It helps to slow the rise in blood sugar after a meal. This prevents high insulin spikes.
But green tea is not a magic bullet. You're not going to eat 5000 calories a day, drink a cup of green tea and make it all go away it just isnt going to happen. I think the keyword here is balance. A healthy diet and increased exercise will go a long way in helping you lose weight and keep it off.
