Foods to eat
Cereals & grains: Whole grains like ragi, brown rice, red rice, oats, whole wheat ,whole wheat bread.
Pulses: Whole dals, legumes
Vegetables : Include more green vegetables, fresh greens , all salad types.
Fruits : lemon, orange, apple, watermelon, sweet lime, guava, papaya, grape fruits , pear, jamun.
Milk & milk products : Skimmed milk , low fat curd , buttermilk, paneer
Sugar: Artificial sweeteners in limited
Fats & Oils : Oil in moderation -3tspoon in a day. Nuts like flax seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds
Non âveg : Lean meat once in 15 days or month , skinless chicken , egg white, fish.
Foods to avoid:
Cereals: Refined products like maida, corn flour, white bread, white noodles, sago, refined rava
Pulses:-
Vegetables: Potato , yam , tapioca, red pumpkin, colocasia.
Fruits: High calorie fruits like mango, jack fruits, chikoo, dates, grapes(both the types), custard apple , pine apple , wood apple , sugar cane , all types of juices, canned juices.
Milk & milk products: Whole milk , cheese, butter, ghee, khoa, ice cream.
Sugar: Bakery products, sweets , jam jelly , chocolates, etc.
Fats & oils: Coconut oil , palm oil, butter, ghee, deep fried, pickles, chips.
Non-veg: Organ meat , mutton, beef, pork, egg yolk.
Some more tips: Drink warm water with lemon, maintain meal timings & portion control, Don't skip meal, do exercise or any kind of cardio exercise for 45-60mins in a day, drink plenty of water in a day.
