Hmmm, sure it does. Running does not reduce belly fat as such. Running will help you burn calories and thereby lose weight. Your entire body will lose fat and this in turn will help you reduce the fat in the tummy. Running long distances is the best way to lose fat and this is not something that is easy. Prepare yourself for a long and exhausting daily routine and make sure that you stick to it. While you are on a running program you have to eat right and healthily, this is as important as the running itself. Otherwise all the running will be a waste.

    @ Sara

Running is a good & effective cardio exercise for burning the fat from the hip. This will help you burn the calories from the whole body. Do at-least 45-60mins in a day.

Running helps to loose fat from overall body. Once you start loosing fat you can start doing stretching exercise as well to tone up your stomach muscles.
