This method of preparation will not help you because you are throwing out the fibre by straining the juice.My suggestion:
Peel the skin and cut into small chunks and put them in a blender. Add 1/2 cup curd , 1 cup water , pich of hing , pinch of pepper , pinch of jeera powder , pinch of jal jeera powder and black salt to taste. Then blend them together. Dont strain at all. You may encounter some small chunks of bottle gourd , which you may just eat as you drink.
