    Hi sabiha,

    If u want to control diabetes u need to maintain your weight.Both are related to each other.Here are some instructions that will help u in maintaining your weight as well as controlling the blood sugar level.
    They are as follows-

    *Eat regular meals.
    *Fix your time for meals and try to maintain it daily.
    *Do not skip your meals or Avoid fasting or feasting
    *Dont have plain rice and ragi items.if consuming there should be a combination with wheat.
    *Fruit juices should not b consumed.
    *Fruits should be eaten in between the meals not with the meals.
    *Use cow's milk instead of buffalo's milk.
    *Heat the milk thrice to remove the cream before consuming the milk.
    *Avoid using tinned or canned food items like canned pineapple or cherrry.
    *Avoid consuming sweetened dates,gulkard,sweets,murabba and chutneys.
    *A late night snack before going to bed is necessary.(marie biscuits,100gm fruit,thin buttermilk)

    Foods allowed in diabetes-

    *Whole wheat flour,bajra,jowar,rawa rice.
    *All green leafy vegetables like palak,methi.
    *Sprouts, dal and legumes,
    *Apple,Lemon.orange,sweetlime,papaya,guava,amla,watermelon,jamun etc.



    Foods avoided in diabetes-

    *corn,sago,arrarot.
    *Icecrem,jam,jelly.
    *Carrot,peas,potato,suran,arbi,sweet potato,beetroot.
    *All sorts of sweets and bengali mithai.
    *Mango,chiku,banana,pineapple,grapes,sitafal.
    *cold drinks.

    Hi Sabiha

    There are three ways to control diabetes & weight management such as , diet control , increasing the phsical activity & modification in the life style

    Diet control : Points to keep in mind :-Instead of taking refined products including more of whole flour , whole grains , whole cereals & dals . Include more of fresh fruits(allowed fruits like apple, guava, grapefruit, orange , sweetlime ,lemon, papaya, watermelon,jamun, black berries) & vegetables(expect potato, yam, sweet potato) , Green leafy vegetables, sprouts .Instead of having unhealthy cooking foods use healthy cooking style like steaming , grilled , boiling , pressure cooking. Non veg like lean meat , skinless chicken , egg white, fish.
    Physical activity: Not only exercise is important to maintain even you should keep you very busy around you like instead of using lift use steps to walk & going by walk to shop or walk with dog . Do any kind of exercise like cardio or aerobics for 30 mins a day for 5 day a week.
    Life style changes is more imporatant like avoid smoking & alcohol (beer ). But once a while & less qty is ok to drink alcohol(monthly once) .

    Drink methi(soaked) water daily in the morning to maintain diabetes.
