    Hi Ramya - Cabbage soup diet cannot be used as a long term weight loss program as u can see the disadvantages of it, and the most important of it is the lack of nutrients.. Once in 2 - 3 months, the 7 day plan can be followed..

    As mentioned in the article, couple the cabbage diet gradually with the normal diet rather than eating cabbage diet alone as it lacks a balanced nutrition. For how long it can be taken is conditional.

    Hi Bedefaith


    Cabbage onion soup:
    Ingredients :
    Chopped cabbage- 500gm
    Chopped onions- 2no
    Chopped garlic- 1clove
    2 cups of water
    Ground pepper to taste
    Salt- to taste
    For garnishing
    Chopped coriander- few
    Method:
    1. Boil the cabbage , onions & garlic together in 2 cups of water & till tender the vegetables.
    2. Cool & shift to blender.
    3. Blend it smooth & strain it in a pan.
    4. Boil it for 2-3 mins with salt & pepper
    5. Shift to a soup bowl & serve it with coriander .

    hi, iam rasheeda i use to take two cups of tea daily with sugar free now i want to know that with this cabbage soup diet can i continue the same.

    You can take 1-2 cups of tea , green tea or coffee
