here are some protein + carb combination foods you can use for weight loss purpose,
wheat flakes + milk
oats + milk
chika wali mung dal + rice khichadi (2:1 proportion)
daliya upama + curd
wheat sevai upama + curd
phulka (without ghee ) + dal / kadhi
paneer paratha with tomato/ pudina chutney
idli + sambar
brown rice pulav + curd / kadhi
sapna also dont forget that only these foods would not help u much for weight loss, you ll have to have a lot of fibers through salads , fruits , whole grains, u must include a lot of liquids like butter milk, warm water and lemon, soups, etc other foods which will help in increaing metabolic rate in the body. and exercise is another important factor ... a good weight loss can only be achieved with a balanced low cal diet and proper exercise.
