Best Combination of Food for weight loss.

hi payal, i am swapna. m 5ft and my weight is 70kgs. I am interested in weightloss. can you suggest me best possible food combinations of protiens and carbs for weight loss for a week for lunch and dinners..

    Hi swapna,

    here are some protein + carb combination foods you can use for weight loss purpose,

    wheat flakes + milk
    oats + milk
    chika wali mung dal + rice khichadi (2:1 proportion)
    daliya upama + curd
    wheat sevai upama + curd
    phulka (without ghee ) + dal / kadhi
    paneer paratha with tomato/ pudina chutney
    idli + sambar
    brown rice pulav + curd / kadhi

    sapna also dont forget that only these foods would not help u much for weight loss, you ll have to have a lot of fibers through salads , fruits , whole grains, u must include a lot of liquids like butter milk, warm water and lemon, soups, etc other foods which will help in increaing metabolic rate in the body. and exercise is another important factor ... a good weight loss can only be achieved with a balanced low cal diet and proper exercise.

    thanks payal for the reply.. also, can you suggest for how much time should i walk to reduce weight.. what should be my daily target for walking to reduce weight..? i am also interested in yoga..
    also can you tell what should i avoid eating at night time.. in short can you guide me completely for weight loss.. i have already started using lifemojo tracker for the purpose.. nd its helpin a lot. my BMR is 30 and i fall in obese category..
    i dont wanna loose weight fast.. i want to go on slow and steady pace so that the weight loss is permanent.

    hi ,

    walking or any other exercise should be done for 45 mins to 1 hour. yoga is gud too .. but for weight loss purpose you need to do power yoga for better result. although yoga can be a part of ur schedule. (10 - 15 mins).

    - make your dinners lite , the above mentioned item are lite and will be gud choice for dinner. remember having late dinners interefere with weight loss, try having dinner by 7.30 or 8 pm max .
