Reducing weight after 30 is not a very big deal and can be reduced easily by the combined effect of healthy diet and proper exercise.
Diet changes include avoiding fatty foods and sweets completely from your diet. You should have more frequent meals at least 6 light meals rather than having 3 heavy meals. Increase the intake of foods which are high in dietary fibre like fruits and vegetables. Have soups and salads in huge amounts.
Some mild exercises like walking in the night or early morning jog can be helpful. Swimming at least 3 times a week is a good weight loss exercise. Cardio exercises in gym also help a lot in reducing weight.
