I was interested to know how soup at night can increase water retention, surely drinking is good for hydration. If soup is bad, are you saying generally, don't eat at night.
Another point, is it bad for your blood sugar level if you do not eat after exercise, as I find I'm not hungry afterward, I'm just eating because I heard you should.

@ cherry - hi soups in general should be avoided by women in the night time as they contain gud amount of salt , in case if u want to consume soups in the night, you can have it wit minimum or no salt, or with rock salt.

eating after exercise is right but not immediately .. should wait for 30- 40 min. and dun eat a lot, it has to be a small meal. as some ppl have the tendency towards hypoglycemia(low sugar) after exercise. this ofcourse depends on the age and the medical status of the person.

Which is the most common mistake of all these? I think :Starving during the day and eating the one and only meal at night" is the most common. What say?

@ Anika - I completely agree with u.. Because people who go on such kinda crash control on calories dont realize that the food that they eat in the night is not gettin completely digested also as they dont get time to do any kinda physical activity..

Soup is a one-pot meal that contains all the nutrients well blend in it. So soups spiced and prepared at home can be consumed for dinner as it is light and easy to digest. Ready to eat soups should be avoided as much as possible as it contains MSG that has the tendency to elevate water retention and hence BP...
