    I had a friend in my school days who would struggle to gain weight. She was naturally thin and wanted to pack on some pounds. But I had seen her succeed through proper diet plan and exercise. If you are in a similar kind of situation, try consuming more calories than your burn out. Protein is very helpful in gaining weight. High protein foods include whey, dairy products, meat, eggs, and nuts. Eat a lot of healthy fats. And try to stay away from all kinds of junk food. Olive oil, canola oil, and sunflower oil contain good fats that help in gaining lean body mass. Your diet should also include a lot of complex carbohydrates.

    The most important rule of gaining weight is to eat more calories than you burn.

    *Eat five or more meals a day. *
    *Avoid skipping meals. Knowing how to gain weight involves consistent eating. *Increase your normal portion size & increase ur calorie count according to ur requirements.
    *choose foods that are higher in calories but not high in fat.
    *Try to increase your food intake without consuming too much fat and sugar. *Regular meals, especially breakfast, are important if you find it difficult to gain weight.
    *Sleep more- It will be more effective if you have tea time after taking a nap in the afternoon.
    *Avoid unhealthy, high-calorie foods. Most important is to avoid trans fats, which increase your risk for disease. Foods that are high in trans fats are: pastry products, cakes, cookies, processed meats, margarine, shortening, and packaged snack foods.
