How can i gain weight and add muscle?

    Your weight gain depends on various factors like dietary intake, genetic makeup, hormonal regulation, your metabolic rate, your lifestyle etc. To gain weight your caloric intake should be more than caloric expenditure. The excess calories consumed usually get stored in the form of fat, thus leading to weight gain. To add muscles you need to gain lean body mass. Increase in lean body mass will also help you to gain weight in a healthy way. Strength training leads to hypertrophy of muscles i.e. increases the muscle mass. Strength training can be done with the help of weights, resistance band or tubes, circuit training etc. Along with strength training maintaining proper diet is very important as strength training increases the metabolic rate thereby increasing caloric consumption. Also the high protein diet is important as muscles are nothing but proteins.

    Hi Jane,
    To gain weight naturally we need to concentrate on the resistance training exercises. Resistance training exercises are meant to increase weight of muscle mass if its done with maximum weight that you can bare for 10 counts. It will take only 25 min of yours in a day to do exercises. Also ,we need to have more of calorie rich diet.
    We can try to follow some of the following tips to gain weight.Try avoiding undue activities so as to reserve the energy. We should never skip your meals however you dont feel hungry.Always carry a healthy snack in your purse so as to eat whenever gets time. Maintian a diary to keep a track on your food and daily activities so as you can note your progression.
