You can't prevent tummy pain during the pregnancy period. No matter what you do, you will end up facing problems related to your stomach during pregnancy. Gases build up and improper digestion is two of the main problems that pregnant women face. This can be quite irritating to deal with but there is no other choice. The body will be trying to adjust to the changes and this will cause some level of discomfort. The only option is to ride it out and hope that it goes away as soon as possible. You can take some medicines for the gas trouble if its too irritating.

Are you talking about pregnancy cramps? If yes, then that is a very common symptom of pregnancy and one of the early signs too. Take a heating pad and put it on your tummy, make sure it is not very hot, but warm and try to sooth the pain. You can also use electric heat pads or disposal heating pads such as therma care.
A warm bath (not hot) may relieve cramping. It may take some of the weight off your ligaments and the heat may relax your muscles and ligaments.
