The position of the cervix will change during pregnancy but there is no universal rule that says that the position has to change to one particular angle. Each woman in different and the body reacts differently to pregnancy. After the period of ovulation the cervix tends to drop lower and you will have a feeling of firmness. During the actual pregnancy the cervix tends to become much more softer, but this may vary according to the individual. Checking the position of the cervix is not a good way to test for pregnancy as no one knows how much and when it will change, if at all.
