It's true that if you don't lose your pregnancy weight in like less than 6 months post delivery, you might end up becoming obese later on in life. I have seen this happen in case of my cousin. After 6 months of delivery, she did not have the time to lose the fat she had gained before delivery, now she is struggling. There are several specific ways to do this. A few minutes of basic floor exercises that are concentrated in the belly area would do a world of good to you. Do NOT resort to crash diets, because this will harm your health, and in turn, your kid's health as well. So, basic exercises to keep you fit would certainly have effect on your body weight a few months down the line. Patience is the key, but don't be lethargic.

Did you mean how to lose tummy after pregnancy? Here are some tiips given below which will help you to do so-
    * The first thing you can do is turn simple, everyday activities into workouts for yourself. The way you hold your baby, is a good one. Most people hold their little one on their side which only makes your hip jut sideways and you let go of your stomach, hold your baby in front of you and concentrate on holding your stomach in, and keep good posture. You will be using your stomach muscles.
    * You can also use your baby for workoutS like this: When you lay down, put your baby on your calves and lift up and than down. Every time you put your legs back down, and your baby sees you again, they will get excited, and it will make your workout more fun. You can also put your little one in their bouncy seat, and do sit ups. Again, eveery time you come up, make a silly face and make your baby laugh.
    * Drink a lot of water to flush out your system. Don't drink carbonated drinks that will lead to bloating. You can also eat potassium rich foods, like bananas, spinach, and apricots. These help rid the body of excess water. Don't eat foods high in sodium because they cause water retention
*these simple things will help to lose your stomach after pregnancy.
