    Having a baby is a beautiful experience for any woman. After having endured nine months of pregnancy, it is pretty natural for any women to get back to normalcy in terms of weight and regain her pre-pregnancy shape as quickly as possible. Same could be the case with you as well. But it is very important to be patient for any woman in such a circumstance. They say ‘Patience is a virtue, seldom found in women and never found in men’. There are various ways of losing post pregnancy weight. It is very important for you to replace your beverages such as sodas with water and a squeeze of fresh lemon. Drink at least 10 glasses of water everyday. Water plays an important role in cutting calories to a considerable extent. Finally try eating whole grains and snacks such as raisins, popcorns, wheatcrackers and nuts. Also it is extremely important to exercise regularly if you really want to lose your post-pregnancy weight as soon as possible.

    Normally it takes about 6 months after pregnancy to reach to your normal condition. So till the first 6 months do not try to cut down the calories as your body is in recovery phase. So just try to include healthy options in your diet. Avoid fried and junk food .You can also doing normal exercises ,not too vigorous. It will help to burn calories ,also you can start doing house hold works like cleaning,dusting will help. And the best thing is if you are breast feeding will help to burn calories as well.

    Hi Sarah

    You should not reduce your weight upto 6-8 months of post pregnancy because you need to feed your baby. One thing if you started lactating your baby then automatically ,you will loss weight. After 6th months , start reducing calorie intake , include more of fruits , vegetables, high fibers foods like whole grains, legumes, green leafy, etc. Drink plenty of water. Drink green tea twice a day. Drink warm water with lemon after every meals. Do brisk walk for 3 months & after that do some cardio exercise or yoga for 45- 60 mins in a day . You can split into 3 times in a day as morning 30 mins, evening 15 mins & after dinner 15 mins. Eat 5 -6 small meals to maintain good metabolism levels.
