How important is meditation during pregnancy?

I have heard that pregnant women who meditate regularly experience less pain during labour and are happier and healthier during gestation and delivery. Is it tru?

    Yes it is true to a great extent.

    Practicing meditation ensures:
    - Reduction of stress
    - Decrease in pregnancy related issues such as morning sickness, high blood pressure and sleeplessness.
    - It helps in increasing oxygen supply to the baby.
    - Meditating results in the baby's over all development.
    - It also provides the baby with better immunity.

    Yes it is true that meditation helps you and plays an important role in the baby's development as well. Emotions play a vital role in the development of the baby. You frequently see examples of stressful mothers giving birth to babies with fluctuating moods, easily going into anger or depression. It is vital for the mother to remain cool and calm and free of any anxiety or stress. With the help of meditation, you can instill harmony within yourself. This will help you to remain free of stress and depression, especially, if you are an emotional person.

    Yes, Meditation is plays a important role in pregnancy. It helps to reduce stress, increase the production of melatonin which improves immunity & improves the sleep ,Increases the production of endorphines which helps to reduces body pain. Lowers the blood pressure & maintains heart rate. Reducing emotions moods. Increasing milk production. It helpful for overall health.
