I am 15 years old but suffering from depression due to my studies. I am not performing well in my exams so i am in great mental stress. For so many times i have tried to end my life but i have not succeeded in any of my attempts. I don't know how i should stop myself. One idea in my minds is such that i should contact to a counsellor for counselling me. Counselling by a counsellor may motivate me in the direction of my studies. If i will improve my studies then i think there will not be any depressive ideas in my mind.

Lucy, 1st and foremost remove the thought of u even attempting for suicide. Just forget that there is a word called suicide also. Then u will find 'n' no. of ways to tackle ur studies issue. Think that u have only one option and that is to LIVE in the way u want. U are still a kid. The root cause is not ur studies but ur failure to tackle the issues that u are facing in life. If u just improve in studies u might come out of that depression but what if tomorroe u get a new issue. Will u get depressed for that also and think of ending ur life again. Suiciding is nothing but losing the battle and running away from problems. The thought of suiciding will never allow u live ur life cos fr whatever reasons u'll keep chanting the mantra of ending ur life. So stop being kiddish cos there is a lot in life that u have not seen in ur 15 yrs. Think of how u can enjoy ur life. Studies is nothing and that u'll kno after 10 yrs when u'll be earning lakhs of rupees evben with Avg scores. 15 yrs is too early to know the meanings of the word called depression. I'm telling u stop trying foolish things. Instead enjoy ur life doing good things and helping others. Help the society. Do physical work. Think Good. Involve urself in protecting the nature. Wats there in exams that doesn't teach u how to get rid of bad thoughts that u are getting today. Scores are imp definitely but they cant decide your life. Be satisfied with what u r doing because u kno that u have given ur best. Satisfaction brings u happiness. stop comapring urself with others cos all of us cant think of y apple fell downwards. Only 1 can do that. So be satisfied with what u have and be happy.

Just think that u have only one option and that is to live. Then all ur problems get solved easily. if u keep thinking of suicide and how to prevent it and etc etc u'll never find the solutions for ur actual probs. Just say u dont kno wat it is and carry on. It'll show u new ways to tackle ur probs.

ask the people who suffer from diseases such as cancer on how they wish they had more time to live u are 15 n worried about studies!!!! ask people who have gone bankrupt and still not killed themselves...life is a precious gift from god you have no right to mess with it! Studies is the issue then hire 10 tutors for each subject or more life have the guts to live then put the effort to study!!!!

Lower the stress level is like Managing stress. It's all about taking charge: taking charge of your thoughts, your emotions, your schedule, your environment, and the way you deal with problems. The ultimate goal is a balanced life, with time for work, relationships, relaxation, and fun - plus the resilience to hold up under pressure and meet challenges head on. You may be surprised, however, by the number of stressors in your life that you can eliminate.

Learn how to say "no" - Know your limits and stick to them. Whether in your personal or professional life, refuse to accept added responsibilities when you're close to reaching them. Taking on more than you can handle is a surefire recipe for stress.

Avoid people who stress you out - If someone consistently causes stress in your life and you can't turn the relationship around, limit the amount of time you spend with that person or end the relationship entirely.

Take control of your environment - If the evening news makes you anxious, turn the TV off. If traffic's got you tense, take a longer but less-traveled route. If going to the market is an unpleasant chore, do your grocery shopping online.

Avoid hot-button topics - If you get upset over religion or politics, cross them off your conversation list. If you repeatedly argue about the same subject with the same people, stop bringing it up or excuse yourself when it's the topic of discussion.

Pare down your to-do list - Analyze your schedule, responsibilities, and daily tasks. If you've got too much on your plate, distinguish between the "shoulds" and the "musts." Drop tasks that aren't truly necessary to the bottom of the list or eliminate them entirely.
