Setting goals is not difficult, however sticking to them is. On needs to be specific in what he/she wants. Be clear and to the point. Don't generalize your educational goals. Instead of saying that you want to graduate from college in 3 years, say how you will graduate in 3 years. Set goals that are realistic in nature. It may not be a good idea to say that you want to be an astronaut if you hate math and science. Write your goals down. Don’t just keep them in your head because you’ll end up changing or forgetting them every five minutes. Put them in a visible place so that you are constantly reminded of what you are supposed to be accomplishing--post them on your wall, on the refrigerator or in a planner. Find several people who will hold you accountable for your educational success. Choose those that you trust. Have a classmate ask you weekly how your paper is coming along. Ask your best friend to call you while your favorite TV show is on to remind you that your studies are more important than the show. Be serious and have a purpose in life. This will take you places. AND REMEMBER NO KNOWLEDGE GOES WASTE. Grab every opportunity you can to hug success.

First get to know what are your interests. What are the subjects that inspire you, how you see yourself in future as a professor to spread knowledge, an engineer, a Counselor, or a painter. Join career counseling classes or personality development workshops where the experts gives you ideas and activities which help you think in the direction where you want to or motivate you to take a step towards your goals. Education is not just textual, it is something that you actually learn in the outer world, focus on the practicality part of the the study. What you are good at already, and what you like doing are two different things. So remember that. Do what you like and not get into any field just because you are already good at. Of course you can enhance your skills more wisely in that area but sit back and think if that is what you exactly want to do, if it excites you everyday morning when you wake up.
