Stress at college may be due to various reasons mainly a sudden change of enviornment from school to college, peer pressure and new set of friends, workload and exams, ragging, room mate issues and adjusting to new place, etc. College life can be over whelming. exploring new things is always exciting but one should keep in mind the reason they have taken admissions in the college and not deviate from their goals. Life can be fun too, but we should learn to balance it out with curricular activities as well. Learn to say NO to those friends who are intending to waste your time in unnecessary acts like smoking, alcohol, drugs, etc. Whenever stressed take a walk for 15-20 minutes in the campus. Most importantly don't stress about feeling stressed. Admit that you are stressed because of some situation, take some time to think what you can do to make it better if not correct it completely and resolve it. Don't sleep with the issue in the head. Practice yoga and meditation. Distract yourself immediately if you feeling low by doing something that interests you. Play your favorite music, go out and play any sport you like, chat with friends who give you good company, talk it out with your closed ones or family.

College stress can have many causes to it:
    - Social stress
    - old academical stress
    - peer pressure
    - personality stress
    - keeping up with the group
    - Weight issues
    - Jealousy
    - not able to handle relationships
    - status symbols, etc.
Check where are you lying in, which of these stresses are affecting you. Or is it something else.
Ways by which you can stay out of these matters:
    - Try and concentrate on your work and studies and try not to interfere in others matters. Do not get very personal with everyone especially if you are one of the vulnerable ones.
    - Make some space for yourself and between you and your friends if you think they are the culprits for your stress.
    - Exercise regularly to beat stress and eat well and frequently.
    - Do not sit ideal, it will kill your brain and there are chances that your thoughts will lead to you towards negativity.
    - Engage yourself in things you like to do, sports, music, arts classes, etc.
    - Try to involve yourself with college activities like dramas, gatherings, clubs and other events and happenings around.
