How to get motivated to exercise in the morning?

    Understanding the importance of waking up early morning and doing exercises is something that you need to focus on first. Because of the increased intake of oxygen and circulation of blood in your body, you'll stay energized for the whole day. Morning exercise is a great way of waking up your brain. It will also help you reduce your stress levels and organize your thoughts. Research has proven that people who exercise in the mornings tend to be the ones most consistent in their fitness regimes and diets. It also helps develop a regular pattern of waking up and time management.

    - Set an alarm but not a very loud and scary one because that might blow away your mood in the early morning itself leaving you off mood and least interested to do anything. Put a soothing music kind of alarm.
    - Wake up at the same time everyday. This will form an association WITH YOUR SLEEP PATTERNS AND YOUR BODY AND MIND WILL KNOW THAT THIS IS THE TIME TO WAKE UP AND DO EXERCISE.
    - Find a friend or someone from the family itself who will wake you up as well as accompany you for the workout.
    - Try variations in the exercise you follow, so that you will not get bored of it and also it will not be monotonous.

    Hi Malvika,
    Along with the tips given by Anuja and Manasi, you can also go through the tips given bellow, hope this helps you to get motivated to exercise in the morning :
    -Ensure to have sufficient hours of good sleep before exercising the next day. Lack of proper sleep will make you feel lazy to get up from the bed and do exercises.
    -Post motivational quotes on the walls of bed room, so that when you get up in morning, you can prepare yourself for exercises
    -Start you workout with energizing and enthusiastic music. Music plays an important role in keeping you motivated for your workout
    -Add some activities which interests you like dancing, swimming etc. You can also start your work out with your favorite exercises.

    My wife an I got a WII last August that includes the fitness board. That has really encouraged me to do daily excercize in the AM and play in the PM. Seeing how I can set records when I do various activities encourages me along with passing other WII characters also help.
