Positive outlook is the key to success. Also learn to accept yourself first before you try to change yourself. Learn to love yourself for who you are, not who you wish to be. Acknowledge that you need to improve your health or weight, but believe that you will do what you can to be the best you can possibly be.

Don't take things so seriously yet be honest towards your health. You know the best where you stand in your life and what are the areas where you need to improve upon. Know know weakness and take your strengths as motivation for yourself towards weight loss. Its not not just about losing weight and looking better, it is about staying healthier and hence increasing the chances of living longer too. Think about it!!

Id like to know how can I stay motivated with weight fluctuations. I have been trying to lose weight for over 3 years now, and it has become a struggle. Like 2 weeks ago I changed my eating pattern to frequent short meals (after 2-3 hours) and I lost 1 KG in 12 days. A few days ago, just one day I exceeded my calorie budget by eating white rice for lunch and dinner (i did not overeat) and I checked my weight the next day, only to see I had gained the 1 kg! Is it possible for a person to gain weight in one day?
Anyway, this kind of thing always disheartens me to the point I dont understand why bother exercising or dieting. Im not losing weight, Im not getting healthier. I dont understand what I am doing wrong in my diet which is not letting me lose weight. I dont want to give up exercising, but it doesnt make me happy. Ive seen girls get better and fresher facial complexion due to exercise, but mine has deteriorated.
So how do I keep myself motivated? Thinking about my dream body only causes me to cry because despite my hard work the past 3 years in losing weight, I have not gotten anywhere, or improved in anyway.

    Hi Jav,

please dont be o disheartened abt the weight fluctuation. are you taking our gny professional help for the matter ? if not please start doing so. if your goal i more than 5- 8 kgs, an expert's help can get you a long way. no matter how much of a proper regime you follow, but at a certain point the weight get stuck coz your body now start understanding the routine and hence the BMR woulld not remain as elevated as it was when you started with the changes. hence proper change in your eating and exercise pattern at the right time will help you in overcoming these hurdles. a professional will not only help you with your diet and exercise pattern but also keep you motivated through out the weight loss journey. so start looking for that supprot ystem. meanwhile here are some tips on how u can keep yourelf motivated.

The Power of Writing it Down: Write down what weight you want to see yourself in after a certain time period. Every morning repeat this aloud before you go out of the house. Once you have achieved that goal, set a new target and continue.
The Power of Expectation: Instead of wishing to reach your desired weight, expect it to happen. This way, it becomes your commitment than mere desire. Your subconscious mind acts upon firm commitments.
The Power of Visualization: Visualize yourself as if you have reached your desired goal, and what you will be doing at that time (something like wearing the jeans that was lying in the closet for years, or trekking energetically, etc.). Dwell upon that vision with great concentration every day for some time.
The Power of Discipline: Although it will be a little difficult to discipline yourself in the beginning to stick to your exercise regimen and timings, later on it becomes a habit. Discipline is the virtue that will help you achieve success in any endeavor.
The Power of Practice: Practice makes a man perfect. Practicing to use your mind power to achieve the goals you desire helps make your goals a reality. Practice meditation techniques, which help you influence the subconscious mind when it is calm. Meditation needs to be practiced daily.

These techniques will help you motivate your mind and stay motivated on your weight loss regime. When it is difficult to self-motivate yourself, seeking professional advice or techniques like hypnotherapy helps a great deal.
