Take some time to think about your goals first and then pen them down. Make a list of your goal destination and things that really matter to you. Make the goals achievable by deciding on the practical ones. See if any of the goals are over lapping. Goals can be short term and long term both. Write each goal destination at the top of a new piece of paper. For each goal write down what is it that you need and don’t have now that will allow you achieve that goal. Put a deadline or a date when you want to achieve each of the goals. If you want break the goals into parts if required and then work accordingly. Make observations/notes about the growth and progress in a diary. Appreciate yourself for the progress and find motivation within you. Talk to you family and friends about the success of each goal to boost your self.

Goal setting involves measurable goals, those that are specific, attainable, realistic and time oriented or time bound too. It is an effective tool for making progress in life and in any thing you want to achieve. It can act as a competition with yourself too like a challenge. There are different types of goals like:
    short term goals
    long term goals
    personal goals
    professional goals
    consumer goals
    product goals
    operating goals
    economy goals etc.
