How do you resist junk food?

I used to eat a lot of junk foods like burgers, potato chips, pizza, etc before I started my weight loss journey. But I still have days when I cannot resist eating a McD burger or a Domino's pizza.

How do you all get through days and cravings like this?

    I have a sweet tooth! When I go grocery shopping, that is when I tend to get cravings for sweets, chocolates, cake etc. So I find if I avoid the aisles with the junk food in it, then I'm doing well.

    I resist it by not purchasing it.

    I love sweets, chocolate, ice cream...the list goes on. To avoid eating them, I don't buy them. It's the only way I can stop myself.

    That's a really good question. I think it starts with the commitment to the kind of life you want to lead for the rest of your life.

    Part of my commitment is not to buy junk food in the first place so the temptation is not in the house. When I do get a craving, I drink tea or fruit juice. Sometimes I also chew a sugerless gum. It puts something in my stomach and the flavor helps with cravings.

    I completely agree with whatever said above...yes it makes sense...however i this what has worked for me....
    1)A clearly defined Goal with the emotions what it brings when you achieve that goal.
    2)Dnt think of you will not eat this for so many days and so many months...then it becomes very difficult to keep it going....Live Just a Day...only today am not going to eat this...that is how i stopped having coffee 6 years back...i was like a person cnt live without coffee.
    3)Each time when you feel like eating something what you dnt want to eat...eat a fruit...it does wonders.
    Do let me the progress what you are making and difficulty what you are facing...all the very best.

    I dont think it as choclate or burger.. i think it as how many calories i will eat. When i think its 200 calories then i prefer to eat lots of veggies, yogurt, fruits than just 1choclate.. :)

    he he he,you will find me different than other lot of people,I dont kill my desire,wat i do is eat a small piece of what i crave for and tell myself,it is better that i can eat this much as well.

    try eat as little as possible of thing of your choice,like one slice of pizza once a while or share one scoop of icecream between 2 people or just throw the rest.you will feel good that you can control your craving.

    can we make a group,where we can quickly communicate with someone about our cravings and someone can really help us at that time,it happened with me,i was talking to the nutritionist of life mojo and i told her i feel like having chocolate and she told me go and brush your teeth ,you feel like having it.if someone genuinely interested,let me know
