There is a strong co-relation between exercises and stress. In simple words stress is reaction or response to any kind of change. Stress is part and parcel of life. It can be positive or negative. Negative stress which is also known as distress brings various changes in the body and in long term can increase the risk of depression, cardiovascular diseases, cancers etc. Illness caused due to stress in referred as post traumatic stress disorder. Stress disrupts the homeostasis of physical and mental wellbeing. There is release of stress hormone such as cortisone and adrenaline. Meta analysis suggest with exercises there is release of certain chemicals like endorphin, serotonin etc. which act centrally to relive stress. Exercises like breathing exercises, yoga, meditation, progressive relaxation technique, aquatic aerobics, Pilates, tai-chi etc. can be some of the option to reduce stress. Exercises act as a distraction from the stressors. Also, it enhances the sense of wellbeing there by reliving stress.

I agree with deepika, and strongly believe that mild to moderate level of regular exercise especially aerobic exercise can help one to manage his/her stress effectively.

    Hi

No doubt, Brisk walking is the easiest, and no less effective, than any other form of exercise that relieves stress. Walk at least 30 minutes a day.Other exercise like yoga , Aerobics helps to relives the stress. Listing songs is also one of relieving the stress.
