Eat sufficient protein from a variety of beans, whole grains, nuts and seeds--
Eat a variety of fruits and vegetables. Since you are already vegetarian it is good that you can avoid animal fats, also avoid refined foods especially refined carbohydrates. Replace with whole foods whenever you can.
Eat every 3 hours or so. Eat Calorie Dense Foods. 100g raw rice is 380kcals. 100g raw spinach is only 25kcals. Getting your daily calorie intake is easier if you eat foods high in calories.
Along with healthy balanced diet you also need to put in efforts in doing exercise because it has to be a balance of both.

Take a lot of protein from eggs, beans, soy, peas etc. Drink plenty of skimmed milk. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Whatever diet plan you follow, be regular
