Skip the spa and save yourself time and money. Your hands and nails mean a lot. So why not take care of them yourself?
- Fill a small bowl with warm water. Make sure this a bowl big enough for both your hands to fit in at the same time. This will save more time than doing one hand at a time.
- Soak your hands for about 3-5 minutes. This will begin the process to relax and soften your hands.
- Dry your hands with the towel.
- File and shape your hands as desired using the nail file and emory board. Try file around the cuticles of your nails as well to get rid of dry, dead skin. The Emory board will make your nails and hands more appealing. Repeat Steps 2 and 3.
- Apply nail hardener. This is what will keep your nails strong and unbreakable. It doesn't hurt that the clear coat adds a little shine to your nails as well.
- Allow the nail hardener to dry for about 7-10 minutes. Yes, hardener smudges too, and you don't want to have to reapply it.
- Moisturize your hands. Use a hand lotion or cream of your choice. For extremely dry hands, you may want to opt for a petroleum jelly to smooth out the rough edges.
Skin: wash your face 3-4 times a day in order to open the pores on the skin so that the oily skin remains dry also in order to balance the texture and smoothness of the skin.
Hair: avoid coloring your hair with outside products which have harmful chemicals in it. Try applying coconut oil and massage your scalp at least twice in a week.
