The only catch with following acne treatments is the side effect that they all cause - dry skin. People who have oily skin are far more prone to acne problems, and when they opt for a treatment for the same, their skin dries up immediately. There's no known way to deduce a measure that doesn't cause dry skin - one thing you can actually do is check out different creams and see their effects. Rubbing alcohol in moderation over the affected spots can help in getting rid of acne, without making the skin dry. You can also use a moisturizer along with your acne treatment, so that your skin doesn't become dry in the process.

    Hi Lindsay,
Best way to treat acne is to treat the cause. Applying creams, lotions etc. will only suppress it. With proper diet, exercises and active lifestyle one can get rid of acne. Maintain proper skin hygiene, if you have oily skin wash several times a day. To prevent dryness use soap free face wash.

    Hi

Good home remedy for acne is to make a paste of sandalwood (chandan) powder with black gram which can be used on facial skin for acne treatment. Keep it overnight and wash it with cold water the next day. This is excellent way of treating acne.

Aloe Vera juice applied twice a day can greatly help in healing of the scars of the acne.

Cucumber is one of the easiest and refreshing treatments used for the treatment of acne and to refreshen up the skin. It makes our skin feel looking young. Blend the cucumber into a paste and apply it on the affected area. Leave it for 30 to 45 minutes and then wash it off.

Make a paste of ground orange peel with water and apply on the affected area. Wash it off after 20-30 minutes with lukewarm water.

Make a paste of turmeric powder in mint juice. Apply on affected area. Wash it off after 20-30 minutes with lukewarm water.

Bacteria can cause inflammation of the skin, and this infection can also result in acne.Vitamin E has proven to be effective in treating acne.

vitamin E is very helpful to the immune system because it is a powerful anti-oxidant. As an anti-oxidant, the vitamin protects fats in the body from oxidation and also eliminates free radicals that can damage the skin.

vitamin E is from eating foods rich in this vitamin. Green leafy vegetables, yams, beans, sweet potatoes, corn, eggs, almonds, sunflower seeds, hazelnuts, wheat germ oil and raw honey are all good sources of vitamin E.

Hope this will help you to treat for acne.
