Obesity is a condition in which a person has excess of body fat. When a person is 20 percent or more over their ideal body weight or if their Body Mass Index is 30 or over they are considered obese. Obesity increases an individual’s risk for various diseases.

I agree with you Olivia..Obesity is a disorder or abnormality in itself that may pave way to a number of diseases. Some of them are diabetes, high blood pressure, cardio vascular diseases, fatty liver etc. It is a reversible condition and many diseases can be prevented by treating obesity on time. So if your BMI is more than 30, then its time for you to be alert and start working on reducing your weight before it gets too late.
