Lactose intolerance is the inability to digest & absorb lactose(the sugar in the milk ) this result to some gastrointestinal disorders when milk & milk products containing milk are consumed. It is caused by reduces or absence of activity of lactase that prevents the splitting of lactose(lactose deficiency).

Lactose intolerance occurs when the small intestine does not produce enough of an enzyme called lactase. We need to break the enzyme lactase(sugar found in dairy products). Lactose intolerance can also be causes by infection, it is genetics infection, etc.
