    i read about the rule of 20/20
    it works like this after every 20 minutes of computer work ,you walk 20 steps.one must change the focal length of eyes more often.

    For better eyesight one should include vegetables and fruits which are orange, green or yellow like mango, papaya,orange, carrot,apricot, spinach, amaranthus(cholai),sweet potato etc more often in the diet.
    Amla(Indian gooseberry) ,if taken regularly, is very helpful in improving eyesight.

    put pure honey in ur eyes before going to bed regularly for one or two months.it's the best tip for better eyesight

    Soak triphala powder(a mixture of Harad, Baheda and Amla) overnight in a bowl.
    Strain the water in a clean bowl next morning.Wash your eyes with this strained water.This is the best remedy for improving eye sight and maintaining it in Diabetic conditions.

    Hello.
    friends I work daily 8 to 9 hours in front of the computer. so often I use glasses to protect my eye. I also give some relaxation to my eye in between my work and never consantly watch my pc for a long period of time. I would like to give some tips for better eyesight.
    * Wear sunglasses
    * Eat plenty of vegetables
    * Minimize computer glare
    * Exercise regularly
    * Have annual eye checks.

    Some eye exercises that may help include holding an object in front of your nose at varying lengths, to help improve eye coordination and stimulate your eyes ability to focus at varying distances.

    Thanks for the great eye tips.... Another good eye exercise is to do zig zags with your eyes every 30 minutes if you want healthier eyes.

    1. Start looking top left uppermost corner - push to look as far top left as possible.
    2. Then "Zig" - move your gaze to the far top right corner.
    3. Then "Zag" move your gaze to the bottom far left corner.
    4. Then "Zig" move your gaze to the bottom far right corner.
    5. Then "Zag" move your gaze to the top left far corner again.

    Do this a few times with a far focus, a mid range focus and a near focus.

    You can also do the "+" vertical cross instead if the diagonals as additional exercise. Make sure you do these with differing focal points... some near and some far. - Your eye has muscles that need to be exercised.

    If you stare at a PC screen "fixed focal" distance for hours - your eyes are getting no exercise.

    So be smart, have a heart… and take a regular break – Exercise your eyes with love.

    To improve eyesight, soak 4-5 almonds overnight.Next morning grind it to a paste using the same water in which it was soaked.Take this paste after meals regularly for few months.

    @shikha, can i have them in plain soaked manner ?or do i need to make it in to paste?? does it make any difference...

    Yes, you can have it but grinding makes significant difference. Finer the paste more will be the benefit .
