    Too much of anything is not good for you! If you know its too much then why are you taking it? Isabgol is generally used as a bowel regulator. It is a common enough product. If you are facing problems with bowel movements then you can go in for isabgol but make sure that you stick to regulated and controlled amounts. At no stage should you overdo it and therefore cause problems for yourself. Isabgol is also useful for treating constipation. But you should not be taking it if you don't have this problem. My daughter sometimes takes too much isabgol and then complains of irritation.

    @Sarah
    Isabgol is the husk obtained from Psyllium plant. It is a natural vegetable product obtained from the seeds of this plant by milling. Isabgol is a common additive in many of the high fiber breakfast cereals and bulk forming laxatives
    Isabgol does not give any side effects, as it is not absorbed in the body. Isabgol does not interact with any other drugs and also does not interfere with the absorption of other essential substances such as vitamins and mineral. However Isabgol should not be used if the person has vomiting, fever and abdominal pain. This product should not be taken along with any other medication, as the desired effects of the medication will be reduced.
