Stair climbing is a good exercise especially for toning of lower body and where there is no running path. Indeed you can easily reduce your hips and fats around your body with the help of this great activity. But it is necessary to perform this great activity at least 30 min in a day or even more than that. But there are certain restrictions also. If you are suffering from any lower body joints problem like knee, ankle, hips pain then it is advisable to avoid this activity as this activity would lead you in a great problem and you will suffer from severe pain.

    Hey Supriya,
Stair climbing should be avoided by peoples having any knee, ankle, hip problems. While doing stair climbing as a workout you need to keep a good posture. Keep your back straight and look forward. Dont lean forward. Wear a proper shoes to support your foot arch. Also, Stair climbing would help more to loose body fat percentage rather than toning your leg muscles. So you can do some weight training exercises if you really want to get a better toned leg muscles.
