Ragi flour soup has lots of nutritional benefits. Ragi or millet is in the form of tiny red balls and are a storehouse of nutrients. They are fiber rich, and have low glycemic index which means it helps to keep the blood sugar levels constant. This is a real boon for diabetic patients. Ragi soup is filling and keeps diabetes in check. Minerals like iron, Thiamine and Calcium are found in abundance. Being rich i fiber, it acts as a good laxative and prevents constipation. It's low in fat and rich in carbohydrates and is good for weight loss especially when obese. Ragi flour can be made into soups with various vegetables.

Ragi flour soup is a very nutritious food. It is a rich source of calcium and iron. Ragi soup makes the tummy full and desire to eat further. Good for those allergic to milk and dairy products. It is very good for babies too.
Ragi meal is an Ideal food for diabetes and obese because its digestion is slow and glucose is released from the intestines very slowly into the blood. It is rich in proteins and low in carbohydrates. It is one of the least allergenic and most digestible grains.
Due to its rich cellulose it is also excellent laxative for constipation.
