So as this exercise focuses more on the breathing part, and when you inhale the air in this way there is definite action taking place inside, and with the ingestion of oxygen into your body, there is ingestion of nervous energy into your brain.

    I agree with Bhavana, Pranayama is the principle of development of both of the nervous & cellular tissues of the body & the mind. This wonderful breathing exercise can makes you improve ur health.
