PCOS

Hi,

I am suffering from Poly cystic ovarian syndrome. My weight is 73 and i am not able to loose it even though i m following proper food intake and exercise.

Please suggest some home remedies if u have.

As well as i wanted to ask that does weight increase due to the consumption of beet root.

    POCS(polycystic ovarian syndrome) is a condition which egg are not released from the ovaries and forms multiple cyst .
    POCS diet tips : Diet plan that can advisable for pocs patients must reduce the carbs rich foods & also u can choose low glycemic index foods (it includes whole foods , fruits) Complex carb are better than simple carbs .
    Foods to include : Flax seeds, walnuts, biotin, lutein found in eggs, low sodium, plant fibre, healthy fats, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. Egg white , almonds, pumpkin,beans, cabbag e, cauliflower,cucumber, egg plant,lettuce,mushroom,soyabeans , apritcots,blueberries,raspberries, kiwi fruit,all leafy,watermelon,cherries,onion, whole grains , whole wheat, brown rice, broken wheat, oats & choose low glycemic foods.
    Foods to avoid: High carbs foods like pastry,refined products, dairy products , whole milk, table sugars,peas,lima beans.

    No, Beet root does not increase weight even it has medium glycemic index(64) , you can have once a while . it has many health benefits like helps to reduce cholesterol, maintains blood pressure, relieves constipation , etc.,

    @Dhara

    You can have 1tsp of raw flaxseed with water or you can grind it to powder form and sprinkle on fruits and salad.

    @ Dhara

    No, as such there is no reduction in the nutrient content of flaxseed if it is kept in open. However, keep in cool dry place for its longevity.
    Yes you can have roasted flaxseed.
    For weight loss purpose have 1tsp early in the morning.

    Is it true that if consumption of lemon water for more than once in a day will darken our skin. I have a fair skin and my mother law told me that if u consume more lemon ur skin will get dark.

    how much lemon should be consume in a day for weight loss?

    In lemon water, i just take lemon and water no salt or sugar.

    Hi,

    Not like that , it helps to cleans ur skin & acts as toner for oily skin. One full lemon u can consume in a day . yes u should avoid sugar , honey & salt in juice .
