Good question - there are a lot of nutrients that help in alleviating muscle pain in individuals. Muscle pain occurs when the muscles don't contract or expand as smoothly as they should. The main minerals and nutrients that ensure that muscles contract without any problems are calcium, magnesium and potassium. Vitamin C also plays an important role in ensuring that your muscles work smoothly, so you should increase your vitamin C intake by adding more citrus fruits like oranges into your diet. Phosphorous is also essential for the body, and you should also consume foods that are rich in vitamin B complex.
