Endemic diseases are those which get transmitted form person to person and so a steady number of people always get infected with that in a particular area. It sometimes needs a vector for transmission and sometimes the person itself is the mode of transmission so it is very difficult to eradicate it. The lists of endemic diseases in India are:
• Anthrax which is a skin disorder
• Malaria caused by female anopheles mosquito
• AIDS which is passed from humans to humans
• Filariasis which is a skin disease due to infection
• Leprosy which is a disease due to infection in which the parts of the body gets eaten up by the bacteria
• Kala azar in Bihar which is which leads to death
