Most often when people fall from their bike and hurt their knee, the meniscus gets torn. The meniscus is something which acts like a cushion for those bones which end up in a joint. These bones are called as the tibia and fibula which also connects the femur bone. If you are still experiencing mild to extreme pain, it is recommended you take sufficient rest. Soaking your knee in Epsom salt bath is also supposed to have healing effects. But please also note that Healing depends upon several factors such as age, the magnitude of the injury and also the amount of rest and medication you have taken. If the pain is unbearable; do consult your doctor immediately for a scan.

    Hi Neha,
What is the extent of injury, are you getting pain while walking? Did you see your doctor for an x-ray or any report? There are lot may structures present around your knee joint like bursa, muscles, meniscus, capsule, ligaments, joint. So the healing depends on the extent, site of injury and of course the structure involved in it.
