Yes, honey is very good for the bowels. For best results, take a tablespoon of honey with warm water and lime. Ensure that you do it on an empty stomach, first thing in a morning. It will help will in bowel movement and help flush out toxins. Repeat this every day for better results and for a good health. Honey also has other medicinal properties. It is also a good detoxifier.

Absolutely, am a victim of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and I did not want to visit the doctor, because I was a little conscious about this. I chose to go all natural in my medication, because i knew it would help me in the longer run. I read that Manuka Honey would give me a relief from this problem, and I started consuming honey with bread for about a month before i had any meal. A couple of months down the line, I was back to normal. Just one teaspoon of honey, spread over 1 slice of bread - twice a day would do the trick. But each person is unique so don't blame me if you dirty your seat honey :)
