Typically a sandwich recipe, assuming you are using whole wheat brown bread, and use low-fat cheese sparingly, with a few slices of cucumber, carrot shavings, tomatoes slices, and sandwich leaves like lettuce, cabbage, etc. the calorie per sandwich should be ranging from 70 to 90 calories. However, if you use high calorie items like potatoes, butter, paneer, etc in a typical Indian recipe with ghee or oil, you calorie intake would dramatically increase to about 150 - 180. Low fat butter substitutes, olive oil, etc should be used more to reduce calorie intake. A handful of nuts like walnuts, almonds, etc along with protein rich foods can reduce your caloric consumption while maintaining health.
