Tulsi leaves are filled with many medicinal uses and this is one of the reasons that they are considered to be holy. The juice of the tulsi plant can cure coughs and help in relieving some of the stress causes by cold. There are a few medicines that are made from the tulsi plant as well. You can also eat the leaves of the tulsi plant directly and these are useful for relieving cough too. You can boil tulsi leaves with honey and ginger and use it to treat cold. This is an effective homemade medicine. Hope it works. Get well soon.

Chewing few tulsi leaves gives quick relief from bad cough. In most of the ayurvedic cough syrups tulsi is present which shows how beneficial tulsi is in curing cough. In respiratory problems like asthma and bronchitis, it’s helpful to mobilize mucus. Tulsi leaves along with ginger are effective in curing different kinds of respiratory problems such as bronchitis, asthma, influenza, cough and cold.
