Have you strained or pulled a muscle? There are a variety of over the counter sprays, gels and creams that are available that you can use to treat a pulled muscle. However, most of these are not necessarily effective and the best thing that you can do is to give your muscles some rest. Muscle tissues tend to repair themselves. Limit any intense physical activity for a short period, till the muscle is back in shape. Consult a physiotherapist and get some treatment. Stretching the muscle gently is a good way of strengthening the muscle and this prevents any further injury.
