Nothing is more frustrating than not being able to sleep. Tossing and turning. Your mind is racing, going over everything that happened today. Here are some of the tips that will help you get sound sleep:
1: Sleep only when you are sleepy. Try not to take in between naps.
2: If you can't fall asleep within 20 minutes, get up and do something boring until you feel sleepy.
3: Get up and go to bed the same time every day. Even on weekends! When your sleep cycle has a regular rhythm, you will feel better.
4: Refrain from exercise at least 4 hours before bedtime. Regular exercise is recommended to help you sleep well, but the timing of the workout is important. Exercising in the morning or early afternoon will not interfere with sleep.
5: Make sure your bed and bedroom are quiet and comfortable. The usual sleep time is 7-8 hours. However it depends upon person to person, some may sleep only 5 hours and still feel good, some require 7-9 hours of sleep. What is important is you should feel fresh when you wake up in the morning, because it shows that your body as acquired that much amount of rest in the form of sleep and you mind is at peace too.
