Poor posture being the main reason behind most of the neck pain,Poor neck posture leads to a Forward Head Position which is one of the most common causes of neck, head and shoulder pain. This can lead to repetitive strain injury (RSI) of the neck leading to weak neck muscles also poor sleeping positions , driving stress, improper breathing pattern etc.can further increase your neck pain thus maintaining good posture can help you a lot. Also micro breaks between your work, neck stretching and isometric neck exercises has been effective in curing neck pain.

    Hi Eva,
Neck pain heppens mainly because of neck muscle stifness or also may be becuase of some bone dysfunction or nerve intruppment. So we need to look into the cause we are sufffering from. If its just becuase of neck muscle weakness or stiffness then we can relax the stifness just by massaging that part or stretching neck muscle and hold it for 20 counts . If your neck muscle are weak then its better that you strengthen your muscles by doing isometric exercises for neck.
