Back pain due to the strain and fatigue in the back muscles is very common. It is more common in the pregnant women, sitting professionals, poor posture and people with sedentary life style.Following strategies can be followed to relax the back muscles:
*Back stretches- Stretches helps to lengthen the muscles.Back muscles can be stretched effectively by doing the upper, middle and lower back muscles stretches.Lie down flat on your back and then, bend the knees and turn the waist to one side of the body. Now,turn your head to the opposite side of the knees. This will help you to relax your middle and lower back muscles.
*Massage- It can be taken for the whole back.
*Hot bath or hot packs- These packs will help to relax the muscles by reducing the muscle spasms, and mproving the blood flow to the muscles.
*Relaxation techniques- Laura Mitchell and Jacobson's technique are also proved to be the effective measure to relax the muscles.
*Strengthening exercises- Strengthening exercises for the back will improve the strength of the muscles, thus delaying fatigue and improving posture.
    * Involve in some recreational activities like yoga, dancing, outdoor sports etc.
