If you’re planning to run a marathon, there’s a lot of training involved. A marathon is around 26.2 miles! Running a distance like that requires strength and stamina. To start training for marathon, you need to start running short distances first. Try running a distance of five miles initially, then slowly increase the distance till you reach 26 miles. Diet plays an important factor as well. You need up your intake of food that is rich in protein. This will help you in strengthening your body. Also, while training it is important for you to keep drinking isotonic drinks to help you make up for lost salt.

    Hey Ritu,
Golden rule to prepare for marathon is, "aim for distance and not for speed". When you train yourself, concentrate more achieving distance rather than targeting speed to cover the distance.
